Club Competitions
Club competitions are run in varying formats seven days a week except if a tournament is being held.
Guests Can Book In Advance
Guests may book into a competition field more than 5 days in advance, however they incur a $10 per player booking fee. The only way this will be refunded is if the player cancels their booking 8 days prior to the day of play. This fee is not a deposit or taken from the green fee on the day of play.
*Note. The advance booking fee is waived for players staying at Howlong Golf Resort’s accommodation.
Playing Fees
Green fee players may book into social golf positions up to 12 months in advance with no booking fee.
Most daily competitions have a $16 entry fee and the 9 hole competitions have a $10 entry fee. If you are visiting our club there are some green fees in addition the the competition fee.

If you are staying several days and wish to reduce your green fees and receive members pricing on food and drink you may like to join as Golf Playing Resort Member for just $129 for the year (see above for details).
Vets competitions have a requirement to be aged 55+ and be a member of the Vets.

Dress Code
Members and Guests are reminded that there is a Dress Code on the Golf Course.
Acceptable Attire
Male: Shirts with a collar (Mocks are acceptable), plain and tidy t-shirt, smart casual trousers, casual shorts, or clean and presentable jeans (denim acceptable).
Female: Tops with a collar, tops without a collar (must have sleeves). Dresses, skirts, slacks, golf shorts or clean and presentable jeans (denim acceptable).
Not Permitted Attire
Male: Singlets, tank-tops, tracksuit/sweat pants or shorts; football jersey, short’s and sock’s or t-shirts with a large or offensive logo.
Female: Singlets, tank-tops, tracksuit/sweat pants or shorts; football jerseys, short’s and sock’s; athletic shorts and t-shirts with a large or offensive logo.
